Christian Youth Leadership Seminar
Christian Youth Leadership Seminar, a leadership development and training program for youth., will bring together youth from all across the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest. The event is open to all students who have completed ninth through twelfth grade. Any young person who is interested in developing their leadership skills is invited to attend. It is held at Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat from Monday, June 28th through Thursday, July 1st. Beginning Thursday at noon, the elected youth leaders from each Area will be gathering to apply what they have learned as they plan for their own Area youth activities in the coming year.
This year's keynote speaker for this event is Aaron Marez, youth minister at Camino de Paz in Fort Worth. Aaron is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Brite Divinity School and has represented young adults on the General Board, at General Assemblies, and in many leadership positions in the life of the church. Aaron works for Texas Christian University, as well, as a recruiter in the Admissions office. He's a great speaker and an experienced leader in the life of the church!
